changes on the JMT

that's some keen observation on your part! I don't believe those metal signs fit in very well. Speaking of signs, there was a portion of the JMT south of Selden Pass (if memory serves), meandering thru a nice pine forest, were many of the trees were marked with old license plates! Why they were there? My guess, to mark the route in the early days of the trails construction. I doubt their still there today..
