Chihuly at the de Young Museum, SF

Just went to the Chihuly exhibit at the de Young museum
in Golden Gate Park.

It was great fun and visually impressive. I brought my
camera and had fun shooting and trying out some photo
techniques.

The show is quite popular and can get crowded. I suggest
booking an early entrance time.

Photography is allowed, but no flash photography and no
tripods.

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the nice comment.

I played around with camera movement on some photos.
Since I was shooting at a slow shutter speed anyway and
would likely get blurry images because of camera shake,
I set the exposure for 1 to 2 seconds and either zoomed
the zoom lens during the exposure or moved the camera
up and down or side to side just to see what I would get.

I liked the results and gives a different spin on the exhibit.

I realize that this is unfortunately belated, but thanks so much for posting the pictures. I was just wandering through my own Chihuly pictures (which are admittedly more amature than yours) and it truly was a fascinating experience. I visited with my aunt and uncle and it made for a special trip. I'm really hoping to get more in touch with museum exhibits in the future so that I can take advantage of them when I go home. Anyone know of good ones coming up?
