Our Modoc County road trip continued with a couple of delightful days in and around Surprise Valley. We base-camped in Cedarville which has a couple of good places to stay including a comfortable hot-springs resort a short ride outside of town. There were no lattés waiting for them in Cedarville, but there was good water, and cool forests beckoned in the nearby Warner Mountains. Then they had to cross the Warners on their way to Oregon, but that’s another and related story.
